Installation
Planckie Elements installs like any other extension for your CMS. You need an active YOOtheme Pro 5 installation first — see Requirements and Compatibility.
Your account gives you two ZIP files, one per platform. Install the one that matches your site:
planckie-elements-wp-<version>.zipfor WordPressplanckie-elements-j-<version>.zipfor Joomla
Do not unpack the ZIP before installing it.
WordPress
- Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Choose
planckie-elements-wp-<version>.zipand select Install Now. - Select Activate Plugin.
Joomla
- Go to System → Install → Extensions.
- Drop
planckie-elements-j-<version>.zipon the Upload Package File area. - Go to System → Plugins, search for Planckie Elements and make sure the plugin is enabled.
Joomla installs the extension as a system plugin. New plugins are disabled by default, so the third step is what actually turns the elements on.
Check that it worked
Open any page in the YOOtheme Pro builder and add an element. The library now has a Planckie Elements group next to the native ones. If the group is missing, see Troubleshooting.
Plugin settings
Open the YOOtheme Pro Customizer and go to Settings → Planckie Elements.
- On WordPress: Appearance → Customize.
- On Joomla: Components → YOOtheme → Customizer.
The panel lists every element the plugin provides, with a switch for each one. Turning an element off removes it from the builder's element library and shortens the list your editors scroll through. It does not break pages that already use it: a layout built with a hidden element keeps rendering exactly as before, and the element reappears in the library the moment you switch it back on.
Elements are on by default, including elements added by a later update.
The same panel shows the installed version, which is the number to quote in a support request.
Updating
Planckie Elements updates through the normal update screen of your CMS.
