Requirements and Compatibility

Planckie Elements is an add-on for YOOtheme Pro. It adds elements to the YOOtheme Pro builder and does nothing on its own, so YOOtheme Pro has to be installed and active before you install it.

Requirements

YOOtheme Pro5.0 or later
PHP8.0 or later
WordPress6.2 or later
Joomla5 or 6

The same product ships in two installable packages, one for WordPress and one for Joomla. Both contain every element; nothing is platform-exclusive.

YOOtheme Pro 5

Planckie Elements requires YOOtheme Pro 5. It does not support YOOtheme Pro 4, and installing it next to Pro 4 leaves the builder library unchanged.

Any YOOtheme Pro style or child theme works. The elements use the theme's own UIkit build, so they inherit your colors, fonts and spacing instead of shipping a look of their own.

What it adds to your site

Every element lives in the Planckie Elements group of the builder's element library. Nothing outside that group changes: existing layouts, templates and third-party elements are untouched.

CSS and JavaScript are loaded per element and per page. A page that does not use a given element never requests its assets, and a site that uses none of them loads nothing from Planckie Elements at all.

Browser support

The elements are tested in the same browsers as YOOtheme Pro: the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Edge and Opera. They rely on standard platform features, so no browser needs a polyfill or a fallback build.

Accessibility

Interactive elements are operable by keyboard, expose the states they change through WAI-ARIA, and drop their animation when the operating system asks for reduced motion. Each element's documentation page states what this means in its case.

Color contrast depends on the palette of your YOOtheme Pro style, because the elements inherit it. WCAG 2.1 asks for a 4.5:1 ratio for text and 3:1 for non-text color; check your style editor rather than the elements.

Licensing and offline use

The plugin never contacts our servers to verify a license, and no element stops working when a subscription lapses. Authorization applies to downloads and updates only.

Planckie Elements is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Third-party components keep their own licenses, and their notices are stored next to the bundled component.

Languages

The builder interface and the strings elements render on the page share one translation catalog. English is the source language; German and Polish ship with the plugin.

Documentation and the website are available in English only.

Multilingual sites

Translation plugins that work by duplicating a page — WPML and Polylang on WordPress, Joomla's own language associations — need nothing special from Planckie Elements. Each translated page keeps its own copy of the element and its own content.

Translating individual builder fields without duplicating the page is a YOOtheme Pro limitation rather than ours, and it applies to native elements in the same way. If you need it, duplicate the page per language.
